The Last SIEGE drips with atmosphere, stark and rainy western European Anglo-Saxon vistas set a stark mood. The color palate is appropriately muted, and still Justin Greenwood manages to pack as much detail into each panel or splash-page as possible.

Wasting no time at all, the bad-guys are obvious and despicable. The action and political intrigue create an ebb and flow that makes every violent encounter that much more believable since not only life and limb are in peril but the fate of the fiefdom! There is a wildcard in place that no one in the realm could’ve been prepared to receive. If the pace has been set from the first issue, this story has nowhere to go but up!
