So far, this new approach to tackling a MARVEL event has been pulled off very well. Think D.C. Metal original titles and tie ins. They’ve definitely taken the blunders of the past few universes altering story lines (secret empire, anyone?) and reduced the buy in and have streamlined the approach. The Hunt for Wolverine has been delivering in these measured doses.

Claws of a Killer brings three of Wolverine’s greatest foes together for a loose alliance, in the uniting cause of a search and destroy agenda! The swagger of Sabretooth, the collected crazy of Lady-Deathstrike, and Logan’s own son bring the grit and grime along for the ride. There is also a paramilitary organization hot on Logan’s heels, although it remains to be seen what role they are playing in the bigger picture. In a series that’s been entertaining thus far, with very different feels to each title, Claws of a Killer stands apart in that there are no good intentions found here. Just a lust for ‘ol Canuckle-head’s adamantium skull, mounted and stuffed on a wall!
